Materials used in the construction of cue cases Oak Tanned Leather - I use one of only two vegetable tanners left in the United States. They provide a great, consistent product that is used by the very best saddle makers and leatherworkers throughout the U.S. Chrome Tanned Leather - Chrome tanned is a completely different tanning method than vegetable tanning. Chrome Tanning uses Chromium Salts, and the leather wears like iron. This leather cannot be tooled or stamped. Genuine Linen Thread - Hand sewn cases use only linen thread. Hand sewing uses a saddle stitch, typically used by saddle makers, and provides for a strong consistent stitch. Bonded Polyester Thread - All cases, unless hand sewn, use #69, #138 and #207 bonded polyester thread. Bonded nylon will not rot like cheaper thread. Fiebings Dyes and Finishes - Feelings has been making leather dyes and other leather products for over 100 years, and they are MADE IN THE USA. Colors shown below are approximate. In addition, I also have the following colors of English Bridle Leather Available
From Left to right: Black, Dark Brown, Burgundy, Medium Brown, Chestnut and Tan Some colors may be temporarily unavailable due to tannery demand. |
